Fantastic for rendering into lard to use for all types of cooking! Just chop or grind, removing any portions of meat remaining and put in the crock pot with 1/4 of water and simmer away! Rough 6-12 hours depending on how much you are doing and how finely you chopped the fat.
Once it appears that all fat has rendered, scoop away the cracklings to fry later if you please. Then pour the liquid gold through a metal seive/strainer or cheese cloth into jars to cool! When cooled, lard will be snowy white.
